Class Update for KG/1st Arabic Qur’an
This last week we introduced the children to the last two letters of the alphabet! We taught the letter Waw and the letter Ya. For the letter Waw we taught the word Walad which means boy. For the letter Ya we taught the word Yed which means hand. As always we reviewed the letter with alif, wow, and ya (long vowels) and fatha, duma, kasra (short vowels). We also reviewed the entire alphabet. Please make sure your child knows the order of the alphabet and can write the letters since their final assessment will require them to write the alphabet in order. Please continue to review surat Al Nas with your child.
BECAUSE STUDENTS WILL HAVE A TWO WEEK BREAK BEFORE OUR NEXT CLASS 2 PACKETS (ONE FOR YA AND ONE FOR WAW) WERE SENT HOME. PLEASE DO ONE PACKET PER WEEK.
As always, please continue to practice and review previous letters with your child. One hour a week every Sunday is not enough time for any child to master the Arabic alphabet. The homework sent home is designed for our students to work on it every day for a little bit. Repetition is key when learning to recognize letters.
