K/1 Qur’an/Arabic Class Update

As usual we started out the day by asking the children in Arabic what their names were. We asked Maismuka (for boys) and Maismukee (for girls).

This week we introduced the children to the letter Kha. Kha is a hard Kha sound from deep within the throat. Next week we will quiz the kids on the short and long vowels with Kha.

Please work on the worksheet sent home with your child! MANY STUDENT ARE NOT BRINGING THEIR HOMEWORK BACK. The worksheets are intended to be worked on throughout the week so the child can become acquainted with the letters and their shapes. Children who bring back the homework fully completed next week will receive a prize for their hard work.

Inshallah I will see you next Sunday,

Lama Sharaf
