KG/1 Arabic Class Update

This week we worked on recognizing the letter Tha in the beginning, middle, and end of a word. Tha is the sister of Ta and Ba, however, while Ta has two dots at the top and Ba has one dot at the bottom, Tha has three dots at the top.

Homework was sent home this week with your child so they can further solidify the idea that the letter Tha changes shape depending on whether it is in the beginning, middle or end of the word.

In addition to learning how to recognize letters in Arabic, students will be learning Quran throughout the year. While we go over ayahs with students in class, they need to continue to practice Quran at home in order to learn the surahs. Please make sure your child memorizes the first 3 ayahs of Surat Al-Fatiha.
