KG/1st Arabic Class Update
This week we introduced the children to the letter DHa. DHa is a hard “Țh” sound as opposed to the soft “th” sound Dhal creates. We reviewed DHa with alif, wow, and ya (long vowels) and fatha, duma, kasra (short vowels). The word of the day was Dhahr which means back. We also reviewed numbers 1-6. and Surat Al-Falaq.
As always, please continue to practice and review previous letters with your child. One hour a week every Sunday is not enough time for any child to master the Arabic alphabet. The homework sent home is designed for our students to work on it every day for a little bit. Repetition is key when learning to recognize letters.
