KG/1st Arabic/Qur’an Class Update
This last week we introduced the children to the letter Ha and the word Helaal which means crescent. To involve the students with the letter Ha, we created the letter from pipe cleaners. As always we reviewed the letter with alif, wow, and ya (long vowels) and fatha, duma, kasra (short vowels).
We have also covered numbers 1-10 and have been reviewing the alphabet periodically. Please continue to review surat Al Nas with your child.
As always, please continue to practice and review previous letters with your child. One hour a week every Sunday is not enough time for any child to master the Arabic alphabet. The homework sent home is designed for our students to work on it every day for a little bit. Repetition is key when learning to recognize letters.
